Which personal data do we process and why?

We are a B2B company, that is, a business-to-business company. This means that we only do business with legal persons and not (directly) with natural persons. You might think that the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) does not apply in that case. However, we do register the names and other details of natural persons, for example, if our customers contact us, for example, the Sales Manager or the Purchaser. That makes communication easy, friendly, and efficient. However, these data are also personal data in the sense of the GDPR.

We engage in limited processing of personal data in connection with the following relationships: suppliers, customers, (web site) visitors, job applicants, and stakeholders. The latter group is defined broadly and covers governments, a limited number of local residents, and self-employed people without employees.

DCAL only registers the following personal data of its relations:

Relation

Personal details

Object

Customers

Names of contacts
Email addresses of contacts
Telephone numbers of contacts

The purpose of registering and using these data is to fulfill our contractual obligations as best as possible or to prepare for these. When we say as best as possible, we mean in good time, efficiently and thoroughly.

We use the abovementioned data exclusively for regular business operations, and the benefit to you as a customer outweighs the limited impact on the privacy of the contacts. The legal basis for processing is the execution of the agreement or the preparation thereof.

Suppliers

Names of contacts
Email addresses of contacts
Telephone numbers of contacts

The purpose of recording and using these data is good communication between you and us as a supplier.

We use the abovementioned data exclusively for regular business operations, and the benefit to you as a supplier outweighs the limited impact on the privacy of the contacts. We consider this to be a legitimate interest.

Stakeholders

Address details of relations
Email addresses of relations
Telephone numbers of relations

The limited set of personal data of stakeholders that we process are only used for efficient communication about matters in which the person involved has a significant interest. This interest always outweighs the (limited) violation of privacy.

Below, you will find a few examples:

  • Contact details of people working for governments.
  • The name and the address of the neighbor who files a complaint.
  • Names on guest lists for events.

Job applications

In the event of an application, we receive your personal data.

This information will be kept safely; as long as the company needs it and the procedure requires it. If you wish your information to be deleted after a specific time, please make the request to the company.
